This is a rosé in magnum from one of the Mosel's (arguably Germany's most historically important viticultural region) top practitioners, a rare-red blend farmed on some of the steepest slopes in the world and directly-pressed/bled off into a rosé that could be drunk with any meal. Pliant, nervy, with a tensile acidity that grips the mid-palate with its stony core finishes with an ease that feels all too like falling in love. Ulli Stein has done it again.
Vinification: from Vom Boden's wonderful website:
"steep slate soils; direct press and saignée; Trollinger, Portugeiser, Spätburgunder & Zweigelt; élevage all stainless. Magnum.
