The Details
Exceptionally rare, highly-prized Chenin Blanc (with the tiniest amount of the Portuguese variety Verdelho that also features in this 110 year-old parcel!) from a single hectare parcel sat on a schistous plateau abutting the Lys, a tributary of the Layon in this westerly part of the Loire. Biodynamically farmed, hand-harvested, the grapes are whole-bunch gently pressed to neutral barrel for spontaneous fermentation and aging. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, minimal (used to be zero/zero, now employs <20ppm at bottling) added SO2.
