Taken From Granite, “Elegance” 1996

Same note as above on the timing of this vintage and its release, now, 30 years later – this is the varietally Bordelaise wine from the Renaissance Days in the mid-late ‘90s, composed of Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc and only from the highest-elevation vineyards (upwards of 2300ft) that Gideon also considered his top-tier sites, i.e. the ‘Elegance’ bottling which corresponded to the Renaissance ‘Claret’ bottling.
