An orange wine like no other... the intensively deliberate triple-pass-harvest of Trebbiano with a single pass of Vermentino means for Francesca & Chiara: underripe harvest of Trebbiano that gets directly pressed; weeks later, a main peak-ripeness harvest of Trebbiano which sees ample time on the skins; a final harvest of Botrytized (noble rot) Trebbiano (~10% of the final blend) finishes the breakdown of this grape before the wines (including some peak-ripeness direct-pressed Vermentino for good measure) are blended and allowed to settle and age... this 2015 is drinking great right now but, like all more intense orange wines in this kind of style, can always benefit from a little more time in bottle. If you can resist, set this down for a year or two. If not - enjoy this beautiful triptych of Trebbiano Toscano blended with some Vermentino!
