The Details
100% Syrah from a quietly renegade voice in the Northern Rhône, making natural wine here for about 2 decades in a very classic outfitting. Unfined, unfiltered, minimal SO2 at bottling. 12%ABV
From the importer:
This single-vineyard wine was planted in 2007, and while Aurélien considers it to be one of his best terroirs, it was never classified AOC Saint-Joseph because the owner had not originally planted vines there, and was unable to request the appellation later. Aurélien does not know the official name of the parcel, but has nicknamed it Le Crêt Louison, in honor of the granddaughter of the owner who rents him the vineyard.
