From a quietly renegade voice in the Northern Rhône, Aurélien Chatagnier, going on nearly 2 decades of organic-plus farming in some excellent sites up from St. Joseph into Côte-Rotie.
60% Marsanne, 40% Roussanne. Sourced from two different parcels: the Marsanne from one vineyard in Ardoix, the Roussanne from another in Limony. Both parcels were planted in the 1990s; Low temperature press, settling, and fermentation. Natural yeast fermentation in barrel. 8-10 months aging in the same wood. Unfined, unfiltered, minimal SO2 at bottling. 15%ABV
