As they say Down Under, this is utterly smashable. From a pretty warm vintage in South Australia, the wine is bursting with fruit and joy, but our mates Alicia and Mark know how to avoid making the classic big soupy Aussie wines of yesteryear. Whole bunches, jumped on and macerated for 4 days, topped up with some Pash Rash juice. Fresh and bright, with lively acidity. Almost like apple candy mixed with a blueberry skin and a dust of tannins.
Mark Warner and Alicia Basa are the type of people with whom you could never say no to a beer. Their laughter and charm is immediately infective; their authenticity is unquestionable. After making their start working with James Erskine of Jauma, the couple crafted their own project, sourcing organic grapes from Mount Compass and Mount Torrens to make light, lithe wines with a cheeky soul. Zero additives, no funny business (except when drinking.)
