This is a spicy, zippy red from Daniel and Pepi Ramos who work ~15 hectares of vines in the Alberche River Valley amongst the Gredos Mountains of Castilla y Léon in Central Spain.

Tasting Notes:  Warm apple cider into an embarrassment of texture, where easy-drinking carries ample body and an arrangement of currants, cinnamon, and tart-florality into the smooth romance of an early-aughts D'Angelo bassline.

Vinification: Practicing organic, this is pure Garnacha. The grapes are hand-harvested from vines that range from 50-100 years-old grown in decomposed granitic sand and schist/slate composite. The grapes are destemmed and spontaneous fermentation is kickstarted with only native yeasts in clay tinajas (amphorae) where the grapes undergo a slow, 9-month maceration. Once the juice has fully fermented, it is aged an additional 3 months also in tinajas. Unfined, unfiltered, with no additional SO2.
