The Details

Veneto. A traditional method sparkler made from 100% Durella from 20-year-old vines rooted in volcanic and basalt soil. The wine is spontaneously fermented in stainless steel with wild yeasts and aged in the same tank on the fine lees before bottling. Disgorged after 2 years in bottle. Unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. 

From the importer: "Aged for over two years in bottle before disgorgement, it features a rich texture, laser-sharp acidity, and bone-dry finish. Young Davide Vignato is proving that his hometown of Gambellara is capable of much more than simple whites—his unparalleled "Cuvée dei Vignato" is a testament to that great potential."
