This is a pure, lively expression of a relatively rare grape (Pineau d'Aunis) from Domaine Les Grandes Vignes who tend 50 hectares of vines in Anjou, Loire Valley, France.
Tasting: Gorgeous light red -- Hands down the best spicy Pineau d'Aunis in the game. Do you like cacio e pepe? Do you dream of the best blueberries the world has ever known? Drink. This. Now.
Vinification: 100% Pineau d'Aunis hand-harvested from vines grown in clay-silt soil. The grapes under whole-cluster maceration over the course of two weeks before pressing into barrel where both alocoholic and malolactic fermentations spontaneously take place (ambient yeasts, no temp. control). After 3 months in barrel, the wine is once-racked and bottled shortly thereafter. Unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. 11.81%ABV
