The Details
New and extremely rare (only 277 Bottles were made) from the biodynamic Montalcino operation, Fonterenza. This is a co-ferment of 15+ grape varieties grown on a tiny parcel, all 100+ year-old vines, at 500m elevation in the foothills of Monte Amiata (10 miles southeast of Montalcino). Sangiovese/Ciliegiolo/Colorino/Mammolo/Canaiolo & many more spontaneously co-ferment and co-macerate, destemmed, with Malvasia/Malvasia Toscana/Trebbiano/Procanico/Nocchianello & many more, in open-vat for ~10days prior to pressing and aging in neutral acacia barrique. Unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.
