The Details
This is a low-ABV, slightly orange fizzer from Cantina Indigeno who work a couple of hectares of vines in Abruzzo, Italy (and also source some organically-grown grapes from nearby farmers).
Tasting Notes: A bready, floral bouquet with slight reduction leads into an addictively delicious palate: tart stonefruit and slight nuttiness define the zippy acid-spine typical of a lightly-macerated Trebbiano d'Abruzzo.
Vinification: 100% Trebbiano with light maceration. Hand-harvested from vineyards in the hills of Teramo, the grapes ferment with native yeasts and are capped prior to completing fermentation so that you end up with a naturally sparkling quaffer. Disgorged, unfined, unfiltered, there is no SO2 added at any part of the vinification process. 10.5% ABV
