This is a lower-ABV fizzer from Cantina Indigeno who work a couple of hectares of vines in Abruzzo, Italy (and also source some organically-grown grapes from nearby farmers).
Tasting Notes: A slightly sparkling, dark-pink rosato that is the picture of a sea-side thirst-quenching summer lunch wine. Fresh red berries and underripe rainier cherries tell the story here: zippy acid and enjoyable tartness with an emphasis on smaller, fresh fruit.
Vinification: 100% Montepulciano, limestone “Calanchi” soils, spontaneous fermentation in open vats and skin contact for one day, 8 months in fiberglass, bottled unfiltered/unfined with no added SO2, 11% ABV
