The Details
This is a supremely elegant Chenin Blanc from one of our favorite producers, La Grange aux Belles, whose vines cover nine hectares in the Loire Valley's Anjou.
Tasting Notes: Bright and vivid as thawing icicles under a white-hot sun on a crisp and clear winter morning - the wine simply trembles with life. Gorgeous, gorgeous chenin.
Vinification: 100% Chenin from two parcels, one of which Julien (co-partner in La Grange Aux Belles) believes to be the best in the world! Selection Massale vines from 2012 and younger vines. Fermented in fiberglass and elevage in Austrian foudres. Unfined, unfiltered, with a touch of SO2 at bottling. 12.5%ABV
