100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, fermented and aged in amphora for 10 months. 3 weeks of maceration. Bottled, unfined, unfiltered, zero SO2. A pretty wicked and wild wine, unlike any expression of Montepulciano you might have tasted (except perhaps for other Lammidia...) Slight effervescence and the fine chalky tannins one can expect with amphora. Sour cherry, strawberry, and cassis. We recommend you drink this with some braised meats and with friends - its unfettered joy is splendid, but the bottle won't hold out until Day 2!
Lammidia is the project of Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani, two best friends who were former tech and finance bros, until they gave it up to return to their homeland and make some pure, natty juice. Their wines are always Zero/Zero (nothing in the vineyards, nothing in the cellar) and truly game-changing in what you can expect from Abruzzo.
