The Details

100% Pineau d'Aunis from 100+ year-old vines. A cuvée originally produced by Domaine de Montrieux, whose label features a quote from Molière ergo the name. Grapes are hand-harvested, partially destemmed and foot trodden before semi-carbonic maceration in vat. Pressed to barrel for 1 year of aging before bottling unfined, unfiltered, minimal (<20 ppm) added SO2.
