The Details
100% Chenin Blanc from Quentin's younger vines. Bottled young in early spring to reserve a tension and freshness that is apparent in the wine. The texture is soft and round while the acidity is bright and lively, giving off tons of minerality complemented by bright orchard fruits and a touch of raw, natty earthiness.
Le Sot de L'Ange, which roughly translates to "Idiot Angel", is the label of Loire farmer and winemaker Quentin Bourse who, in 2013, took over a friend's estate in Azay-le-Rideau in the Loire Valley's Touraine region. His vineyards are certified biodynamic and everything in the vineyard and winery is painstakingly done by hand.
