The Details
This is the perfect aperitif - a blend of chardonnay and muscat that possesses the explosive aromatics of the latter with the watermark citric verve of the former, from Marie + Vincent Tricot who tend 10.5 hectares of vines around the village of Orcet in the Auvergne.
Vinification: A blend of Chardonnay and Muscat hand-harvested from a combination of young and old vines (up to 45 years-old) grown in volcanic, limestone soils. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation (ambient yeasts; no temp. control) in stainless steel tank before ea medium-length élevage also in stainless steel tank. Bottled unfined, unfiltered with no additional SO2. 12%ABV
