This is a golden white of exceeding balance, where the nose is bright though not overeager and the palate is crisp though carrying a medium-body. Delicious and perfect to pair with any marine fare.
Vinification: A blend of 60% Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, 20% Muscat d’Alexandria, and 10% each of Viognier and Macabeu hand-harvested from 100+ year-old vines grown in schistous marl soils. The grapes spontaneously ferment + macerate for 10 days with only ambient yeasts, no temp. control, before pressing into demi-muids and foudres before a 12-month élevage in French oak barrels and foudres. Bottled unfined, unfiltered with no additional SO2. 11%ABV
