The Details
Crazy By Nature is James' electic marriage of Malbec, Syrah and Viognier, three special grape varities that grow well in Gisborne's warmer climate. The wine sees some barrel aging to round out the Malbec's sharper edges, while the Viognier acts as an ode to the coplanting of Viognier and Syrah in Cote-Rotie. The wine is smoky yet thirst quenching, a winter warmer with a heart of red plum and balsamic vinegar. Small SO2 only at bottling.
