The Details
This is a fun, light red from Rachel Signer of Persephone Wines who works in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia.
Tasting Notes: Wild rhubarb and delicate pillowy tannins define the front and back of this wine that is, above all else, the kind of juice that even the thought of is enough to make you smile. Sunny, singing Gamay from South Australia.
Vinification: 100% Gamay hand-harvested at the end of veraison. Per the winemaker, "This bottling [of Gamay] is from one 300L barrel of free run juice, siphoned off the fermenting fruit before pressing." Unfined, unfiltered, no additional S02. 12.5% ABV
