The Details
Nearly entirely Nerello Mascalese, dashed with some Nerello Cappuccio & Mirello Rossa, from 80 year-old bush vines grown in the soft, ashen soils of Mt. Etna's northern face across the contrade of Crasa and Calderara. The grapes are hand-harvested and spontaneously ferment/macerate for several weeks in botte grande prior to pressing and aging in cement tank for a short maturation. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, minimal added SO2. 13.5%ABV
