100% Cartoixà de La Marina (pink Xarel-lo) from a single parcel locaed next to the Gaia River in Nulles, a small village southwest of Barcelona, 6 miles from the Mediterranean coast.
6-Day maceration prior to pressing into stainless steel tank where the wine matures on its lees for 4 months. Unfined, unfiltered, touch of SO2 at bottling. 11.5% ABV
"La Lleona" was the name of the last horse with whom winemaker Francesc (Cesc) Boronat's grandfather worked these vines.
