The Details
This is a zippy, concentrated Pinot Noir carried on a medium-body with a very light, chalky tannic finish (good with a chill!) from Marie and Vincent Tricot who tend 10.5 hectares of vines around the village of Orcet in the Auvergne.
Vinification: 100% Pinot Noir hand-harvested from vines grown in clay, limestone and volcanic marl soils. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation (ambient yeasts; no temp. control) in barrique before a medium-length élevage also in barriques. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no additional SO2. 12.5%ABV
