About the wine

Cold-Climate Pinot Perfection! From Jonas Seckinger, biodynamically cultivated Pinot Noir from the Pfalz (30-40 year-old vines) planted in loam/limestone/marl soils. The grapes see 30 day, whole-cluster carbonic maceration in stainless steel tank followed by pressing into neutral 225L Barrique for an 8 month élevage. Unfined, unfiltered, 10ppm SO2 at bottling. 10.5%ABV

The Producer: Seckinger

Meet Jonas, Lukas, and Philipp Seckinger. In the picturesque Palatinate region, we tend to their Mittelhaardt vineyard, nestled among world-famous locations. These spots on the Mittelhaardt and the neighboring South Palatinate serve as the cornerstone of our winemaking endeavors. Their annual mission? To bottle the essence of this terroir, preserving its authenticity—a wine that truly reflects the characteristics of the vintage. Cultivating in the Palatinate's richly steeped traditional locations fills them with both luck and pride. For them, it's second nature: spontaneous fermentation, wooden casks, and a no-fuss approach without fining agents. With zero external meddling and ample time in the barrel, our wines emerge naturally stable and utterly distinctive.
