The Details

Dessert Wine! From a tiny (a couple rows) vineyard in Santa Rosa, this is 50/50 Zinfandel and Chasselas from 100+ year-old, organically cultivated vines. Grapes were picked at maximum ripeness and destemmed and macerated/spontaneously fermented to about 8 brix. At this point the wine was pressed and fortified with brandy from Absentee Winery. In barrel for 2 years thereafter, the wine was regularly topped up before being bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no additional SO2 in 375mL bottles. 18% ABV
