The Details

Parcellaire old-vine Etna Red from SRC in Randazzo on the volcano. This is mainly Nerello Mascalese with some Grenache. Grapes are organically cultivated in the volcanic soils of the mountain, hand-harvested and spontaneously co-macerate and co-ferment for 3 weeks in tank prior to élevage over the course of 8-10 months in a combination of steel and tonneau. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, minimal (<10ppm) added SO2. Rested in bottle for at least a year further before release.
