100% Chenin Blanc from a younger parcel planted just in 2014 very nearby the Cocus vineyard, however, the soils here are the famed rhyolitic volcanic rock that helped make Richard Leroy’s name with one of his flagship cuvées. Chenin on this particular volcanic soil yields magic. Hand-harvested, directly pressed to stainless steel vat for spontaneous fermentation followed by élevage in neutral 500L tonneaux for 12 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2 as of 2023.
