The Details

50% Garnacha, 35% Carignan, 15% Zinfandel from the Ernesto Collin vineyard in Tecate, Guadalupe Valley, Baja Peninsula, Mexico. Grapes are hand-harvested from 40 year-old vines biodynamically cultivated in deep sandy soils. Garnacha ferments on its own, whole-cluster, while Zinfandel and Carignan are destemmed. The wines get pressed and blended and aged in stainless steel for 9-12 months before bottling unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.
