The Details

Parcellaire Etna Rosso from Etna's Versante Nord. From over 750m elevation on the northern face of Mt. Etna this is mainly Nerello Mascalese with a bit of Nerello Capuccio. Grapes are hand-harvested from 107 year-old (!!!) vines planted to pure volcanic soils and macerate for 15 days prior to pressing and spontaneous fermentation/aging in chesnut barrel. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.
