This is a dream blend from Joe Swick who is a fifth-generation winemaker working vines in both Willamette Valley, Oregon and Columbia Gorge, Washington.
Tasting Notes: An electric and light red with texture for days - joy and irreverence twist together here into a lovely mix of florality and fruit, recognizable orange tannin in the palate provides zest amidst cherries, roses, violets, and pomegranate. A wine you will not forget.
Vinification: 50% Pinot Gris, 50% Gewürztraminer hand-harvested from 20 year-old vines grown in alluvial soil. The grapes are de-stemmed and ferment separately after foot tread and an extended 30-day maceration. This takes place in used wooden barrels and is pressed before 6 months of aging. Unfined, unfiltered with minimal additional SO2.
