The Details

From Leithaburg (limestone hills on the northern side of Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland), this is 100% Blaufränkisch from 7 different plots on limestone/chalky loam soils. Grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed and macerate for 7 days prior to pressing. Spontaneously fermented and aged in stainless steel and neutral barrel for 9 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, minimal (15ppm) added SO2.
